A Three-Way Partnership in Pelvic Rehabilitation
Ms. T, a 60-year-old woman, had lived for years with urinary leakage and urgency that significantly limited her daily life. Exercise, outdoor activities, and even simple outings became difficult.
After attending one of my public talks, her caring daughter encouraged her to book a pelvic rehab visit. With her daughter's support and her own strong motivation, Ms. T followed her rehabilitation plan step by step.
Amazingly, after only two full pelvic rehab sessions, she reached her goals and "graduated."
She returned to the outdoor activities she loves, successfully completed a cycling trip around Taiwan, and is now preparing to travel abroad with her daughter — something she once felt was impossible while living with severe urinary symptoms.
In the clinic, she shared the joy of finally feeling free — no longer worried about holding others back, and able to enjoy life without the fear of urgency or leakage.
She also discovered, through real-time ultrasound biofeedback, that her previous Kegel exercises had been performed incorrectly — and correcting them made all the difference.
This case reflects a three-way partnership in pelvic rehabilitation:
-
A patient's motivation
-
A patient's consistency
-
Professional guidance and assessment
Together, we created meaningful change — and this shared effort is what makes pelvic rehabilitation so rewarding.
